Financial & Insurance Information

At Hippler Family Dentistry, we believe that clear, upfront financial information helps our patients feel confident and informed when making decisions about their care. Below is an overview of our payment options, financing, insurance participation, and alternative savings plans.

Payment & Financing Options

We strive to make dental care accessible and flexible. We accept:

  • Cash, check, and all major credit cards
  • Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

For patients who prefer to spread payments over time, we offer third-party financing options, including CareCredit (subject to approval), which allow you to break treatment costs into manageable monthly payments. Our team is happy to help you explore available plans and find an option that fits your budget.

Dental Insurance: How It Really Works

Dental insurance is often misunderstood. Unlike medical insurance, dental insurance is not designed to cover the full cost of care. It is best thought of as a limited benefit plan or a coupon, rather than true insurance.

Here’s why:

  • Most plans have annual maximums that have not significantly increased in decades
  • Coverage percentages are capped and vary by procedure
  • Many necessary treatments may be downgraded or denied based on plan rules—not clinical need
  • Insurance companies decide coverage based on contracts, not your dentist’s recommendations

Your dental plan is an agreement between you and your insurance company. Our role is to help submit claims, provide documentation, and assist you in maximizing your benefits—but ultimately, insurance does not dictate your treatment. Your oral health does.

Accepted Insurance Plans

We work with many dental insurance plans and are happy to submit claims on your behalf. Coverage and reimbursement vary widely depending on your specific plan and employer benefits.

Because insurance plans frequently change, we recommend:

  • Verifying benefits prior to treatment
  • Viewing insurance as a contribution toward care, not a guarantee of coverage

Our team will always review estimated benefits with you in advance whenever possible.

In-House Dental Discount Plan (No Insurance Needed)

For patients without dental insurance—or those looking for a simpler, more transparent option—we offer an in‑house Dental Discount Plan.

How It Works:

  • Annual subscription (per individual or family)
  • No waiting periods, no yearly maximums, no claim denials
  • Receive approximately 30% off our standard office fees for most procedures
  • Discount applies immediately and is paid directly at the time of service

This plan is not insurance, but it provides predictable savings and eliminates the complexity and frustration often associated with traditional dental plans.
